COFFEEHOUSE  SERIES

Tom Fonner of New Martinsville,
ArtsLink vice-president, will be playing with
the 40+ Band in concert on Thursday, August 11
at 7:00 pm as part of ArtsLink’s
Summer Coffeehouse Series.

ArtsLink’s Summer Coffeehouse Series will kick off on Thursday, July 11, with a concert by the 40+ Band, with members from all over the Upper Ohio Valley.  The free concert will begin at 7:00 p.m on the lawn of the Francis Creative Arts Center at the corner of Maple Avenue and Washington Street in downtown New Martinsville.

The band “40+” is made up of six experienced musicians that have been making audiences in the Upper Ohio Valley dance since 2010. Their repertoire covers genres including Classic Rock, Oldies, Country Rock, Country, Blues, and
A Cappella. The band members include Rick Taylor on keyboards, Lino Calvarese on lead guitar and trumpet, Dave Nixon on rhythm guitar, harmonica, and ukulele, Terry Stuck on rhythm guitar, Tom Fonner on bass, and John Zumpetta on drums. All members perform lead and background vocals. Tom and John are natives of New Martinsville. They’ll be trying something new, an unplugged set. And they’ll also be doing a crowd favorite, an A Cappella set.

ArtsLink president, Scarlet Hood, comments, “We’re delighted to present these talented artists. Rain or shine, bring a lawn chair and enjoy great entertainment!” Light refreshments will be served. ArtsLink’s Summer Coffeehouse series is sponsored by First Mutual Bank.
